SeleVerse ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Sele Tech Ltd, a subsidiary of Sele Media Africa, headquartered in Plateau State, Nigeria. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the SeleVerse platform.
By using SeleVerse, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, country of residence, and profile information you choose to provide.
2.2 Content You Create
We collect and store the content you create on SeleVerse, including voice posts, articles, videos, images, comments, and messages.
2.3 Usage Data
We collect information about how you use SeleVerse, including pages visited, features used, content viewed, search queries, and interaction patterns.
2.4 Device Information
We collect device identifiers, operating system, browser type, IP address, and location data (with your permission).
2.5 Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Flutterwave and Paystack. We do not store full payment card details. We receive transaction records and payment status information.

- To provide, maintain, and improve the SeleVerse platform
- To personalize your content feed and recommendations
- To process payments and manage creator earnings
- To send you notifications, updates, and service communications
- To verify journalist credentials and creator identities
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: Payment processors (Flutterwave, Paystack), cloud infrastructure, analytics providers, and customer support tools
- Advertisers: Aggregated, anonymized audience data only — never individual personal data without consent
- Legal Requirements: When required by Nigerian law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users
- Sele Media Africa: Our parent company, for editorial oversight and platform governance

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain data for 30 days before permanent deletion, except where legal obligations require longer retention (fraud prevention, legal records — up to 6 months).
8. Children's Privacy
SeleVerse is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
9. International Data Transfers
SeleVerse is headquartered in Nigeria. Your data may be processed in Nigeria and other countries where our service providers operate. For users in the EU/UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in compliance with GDPR considerations.
